The Colt Varsity Soccer team (0-2) stays in Roswell this weekend to compete in the Coyote Classic at Cielo Grande Sports Complex.

NMMI's first match is at 3 p.m. today (Sept. 2) against the Las Cruces High Bulldawgs (1-2) on the east field.

If the Colts win they will play at 11 a.m. Saturday on the east field. If they take a loss, they'll play at 9 a.m. Saturday on the east field. Depending on the results of the first round, NMMI will face either Roswell or Valencia in the second round.

On the other side of the bracket, Organ Mountain faces Carlsbad and Goddard takes on Alamogordo. Most of the schools in the tournament are in Class 5A, which provides a good early season test for the Colts.

The championship games take place at 4 p.m. Saturday on the east field, third place at 3 p.m. on the west field, fifth place at 1 p.m. on the east field and the 7th place matchup will start at 1 p.m. on the west field.
