
On Thursday evening, New Mexico Military dropped its conference matchup with Odessa College, 83-66. Dropping their fourth consecutive game, the Broncos fall to 0-4 in conference play with a 4-12 overall record. The Wranglers improve to 13-5 on the year with a 2-2 mark in conference play.

The visiting team opened the game with a trio of three's to take a commanding 10-1 lead with under 17 minutes on the game clock. Following a Bronco timeout, both sides tried to gain momentum and the visiting squad was growing their lead until Joseph Thomas drilled a three to make it a 21-9 game with about 12 minutes left in the half.
However, Odessa closed out the half on a 31-21 run to head into halftime with a 52-30 lead. In the first half, Justin Bramao led all Broncos as he tallied seven of his 13 points on the evening.

In the second half, NMMI struggled to find any offensive rhythm as Odessa was able to grow their lead to 29 points with over five minutes remaining in the contest. With the help of a pair of threes by Jonah Lopez and a couple of buckets by David Popa, NMMI was able to end the game 83-66.
Bramao led all Broncos with 13 points and 9 rebounds – a game high. As a team, NMMI shot 47.9 percent from the field while shooting 15-for-18 from the free throw line. The Broncos finished +1 in rebound differential.
The Broncos will return to action on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 3 p.m. MST as they host the University of the Southwest in the Cahoon Armory gym.
