The Lady Colt Varsity Volleyball team made a trip to Mescalero Tuesday to take on the Mescalero Apache Lady Chiefs, but without a starter and two rotational players, NMMI fell in five sets. Set scores were 25-18, 22-25, 26-24, 25-16 and 11-15.

"They played hard in a tough situation, on the road, without some of their teammates," said head coach Chantale Riddle. "Our energy is always either too high or too low and we have to figure out how to play more stable and consistent."

The Lady Colt JV squad fell in three sets: 25-20, 15-25, 13-15.

The Lady Colts host Jal at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Godfrey Athletic Center and will be looking for a degree of revenge after losing in Jal to open the season.
