Tucumcari topples Lady Colts

The New Mexico Military Institute Lady Colt volleyball team went deep in the set scores with visiting Tucumcari High, but couldn't notch the win against the Rattlers, dropping their home district match in three sets: 25-20, 25-19, 25-22.

The Institute overcame early runs by the Rattlers in every set, fighting back in each to manage a slim one, two, or even three point lead, but a combination of serve-receive and attack errors allowed Tucumcari to close out the stanzas on top.

With the loss, NMMI falls to 4-16 overall and 0-3 in district.

This was last match at home for NMMI - they have one game left in the regular season, a final district match-up at Dexter High School on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 6:30 pm MDT.
