Marrujo is a 2007 graduate of Roswell High and a 2009 grad of New Mexico Military Institute's junior college program.

He then attended Eastern New Mexico University where graduated in 2009. 

Marrujo has been working at NMMI since March of 2017. He served as a recruiter and currently occupies the academic adviser role. In addition, he also serves as an assistant coach on the Bronco baseball team.

Prior to NMMI, he was the head baseball coach at Roswell High for three years. He also spent three years working for the Bureau of Land Management as a firefighter.

Carlos is married to Amber, a former Bronco volleyball player that played under current head coach Shelby Forchtner.
