NMMI Sports Press

The Bronco basketball team opened up the NMMI Classic with a loss versus Strength N Motion Prep International 97-95

Head coach Ralph Davis said, "Defensively we just weren't there at all tonight and we could not get a stop."

NMMI allowed Strength N Motion to grab 16 defensive rebounds and 6 offensive rebounds, which allowed them to put the game away late.

"We could not score that basketball. They played well and made the shots they were supposed to make," said Davis.

NMMI had five players in double figures, led Rosel Hurley with 24. Hurley also had 12 rebounds to get the double-double. Teammate Davis Steelman was close behind with 22.

NMMI will take on Fort Bliss Army Base to conclude the NMMI Classic tomorrow at 12:00 PM at Cahoon Armory.
