Joshua Mitchell was a four-year, two-way starter at Mesilla Valley Christian in Las Cruces, N.M., where he twice earned All-State honors and was the first player in school history to receive a scholarship to play in college.
At Sterling College (KS), Mitchell continued to dominate as an offensive lineman, starting three out of four seasons for a program that was consistently ranked in the top 25 of NAIA during his tenure.
After graduating from Sterling in 2020, he went back to Mesilla Valley and served as offensive coordinator and assistant head coach.
He then served as head coach for a single season at Pinnacle Charter, helping build a program from a single player at the start of the season in July, to a 23-man roster by the end of the season. He joined the NMMI coaching staff for the 2022 season.
