On Monday night New Mexico Military Institute improved to 10-6 on the season with a 4-1 win over neighboring Gateway Christian at the NMMI Ballpark. With the loss, the Warriors dip to 6-4 on the year.
On Tuesday afternoon, New Mexico Military Institute took down Sandia Prep in five innings, 13-3 at the NMMI Ballpark. With the win the Colts improved to 3-0 in district play with a 9-5 overall mark. With the loss, Sandia Prep dips to 2-5 on the year.
On Saturday evening, New Mexico Military Institute opened conference play 2-0 with a 14-1 win in game one, followed by a 22-7 win in game two. With the pair of wins the Colts improved to 8-5 overall on the year. On the other hand, the Bobcats dip to 0-4 to start off the year.
On Tuesday night, New Mexico Military Institute moved to 6-5 on the year with a 4-2 loss against Artesia High School at the NMMI Ballpark. With the win, Artesia improves to 7-3 on the year.
On Saturday evening, New Mexico Military Institute claimed the 31st Annual Sertoma Colt Classic Tournament Championship – 11th overall, with an impressive 9-0 win over the Goddard JV squad. With the win, the Colts improve to 6-4 as they head into district play.
On Friday night, New Mexico Military Institute took down Socorro High 15-2 in five winnings. With the win, the Colts improved to 5-4 on the year and earned a spot in the 31st Annual Sertoma Colt Classic championship game. With the loss, Socorro dips to 3-3 and earns a spot in the third place match tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 p.m. MDT.
On Thursday evening, New Mexico Military Institute closed day one of the 31st Annual Sertoma Colt Classic with a 10-0 win over Shiprock. Before tonight’s game, Art “Bull” Torrez was honored during the ceremonial first-pitch as his daughter Sarah Fletcher and grandson Joshua Anderson threw out the first pitch. With the win, the Colts improve to 4-4 on the year and earn a spot in tomorrow’s semi-final match. With the loss, Shiprock dropped to 3-4 on the season and will take on Dexter tomorrow at 12:45 p.m. MDT.
On Tuesday evening, NMMI started the year off with a 7-5 win in game one as they hosted Chaparral High to open the year. In game two of the doubleheader, the Lobos came out on top 3-1. Splitting the doubleheader, the Colts open the year 1-1 while Chaparral improves to 2-1 on the year.
The senior and Roswell native, Tegin Maloney, inked his name to play baseball at the collegiate level for Scripps College where he will continue his academic and athletic career in Claremont, CA for the Stangs.

The NMMI Colt baseball team won their opening-round game in the 30th Annual Roswell Sertoma Colt Classic tournament, outlasting the Roswell High JV squad, 15-13.
