Lady Colts take Portales to double-OT in 50-45 loss

The Lady Colts pushed the Portales junior varsity Lady Rams to the limit Thursday night at the Godfrey Athletic Center, playing two extra periods before finally falling 50-45.

The result goes down as a loss, but the Institute fared much better against the Rams than they did in their first game of the season on Jan. 12 in Portales when the Lady Colts were rocked 62-20.

The Lady Colts (2-4) have one more chance to improve before the district slate begins as they face Roswell’s Gateway Christian School on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
