The New Mexico Military Institute Lady Colt volleyball team defeated the Lake Arthur Panthers 3-0 (25-12, 25-10, 25-21) in the Godfrey Athletic Center on Monday.

Head Lady Colt coach Stephanie Schooley was happy with the win, but still noted aspects that her team needed to improve.

Coach Schooley said, “We are trying to speed the game up a little bit trying to get some quick sets on free balls. We are also working on serve receive. We are trying to get the girls to move their feet to the ball first rather than them reaching for balls and being a half a step too late.”

NMMI improves their record to 4-4 on the season with the win tonight. The Lady Colts will play the Loving Lady Falcons on Tuesday at 6:00 PM at Loving High School.
