The New Mexico Military Institute Colt soccer team continued their dominate district play against Socorro High School as they won 3-0 at NMMI Stapp Parade Field on Saturday. The win brings NMMI to 16-1-1 and a perfect 5-0 in district play.

All three goals came in the first half for the Colts and three different NMMI players scored in the match. Daniel Angulo started the scoring for the Colts. Andres Bleizeffer collected the next goal on a header from a corner kick and Alejandro Barcenas put the final ball in the back of the net off a corner kick in the box for the 3-0 victory.

“We played a good game today,” said head Colt soccer coach John Barbour. “We played well in the first half. The second half we fell off a bit offensively, but we did a good job defending.”

The next match for the Colts will be their last regular season contest and will be on the road against Hatch Valley High School. Opening kickoff is set at 6 p.m.
