Colts get fourth straight victory against Rams

The New Mexico Military Institute Colt soccer team defeated the Portales Rams 4-1 at NMMI Stapp Parade Field on Saturday.

After the game was pushed up to 1:00 PM due to concerning weather during the 3:00 PM originally slotted time. The Colts were up 1-0 at the half. The second half saw goals from Daniel Angulo, Jose Donnadieu, and Pablo Velez to give the Colts a 4-1 victory against the Rams.

Head Colt soccer coach John Barbour was happy with his teams performance.

Coach Barbour said, “We did well today. We had some other guys get some playing time and see how they performed. They carried the load of work and I am proud of the team. We got exceptional play from Donnadieu, Angulo, Jon Zimmerman, and Ben Zimmerman. Defense had less lapses, but we still need to tighten things up a bit."

The next game for the Colts will be at Lovington on Sept. 28 th at 3:00 PM. The Colts are 1-0 against the
Wildcats this season beating them 4-1 on August 27th
