Title: Bronco Basketball Assistant Coach

This will be coach Will Joyce's first year as an assistant coach for the New Mexico Military Institute Bronco basketball team.

The NMMI alumus began his playing career at Newark Eastside High School, where he was a four-year starter for the Red Raiders, and helped led them to win the Group 4 State Championship title in 2013.

Joyce then came to play for the NMMI Broncos, graduating with his Associate's Degree in 2015. He led the Western Juinor College Athletic Assocaition conference in blocked shots as a freshman. As a sophomore, his nine points and eight rebounds per game played a big part in getting the Broncos back into Region V postseason playoffs for the first time in 13 years.

After NMMI, Joyce played for Southern Utah University, completing his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice in 2017. At SUU, Joyce played for a great coach and staff, including head coach Todd Simon and assitant coach John Wardenburg. He was a starter for the Thunderbirds his senior season, and had 16 points and 16 rebounds in SUU's first round match in the Big Sky postseason conference tournament, helping them make the quarterfinals for the first time in the program's history.

Joyce started his coaching career during the 2017-18 season as the head assistant coach for the Kearns High School Cougers in Kearns, Utah. That season the Cougars won the regional title while compiling a 20-4 overall record.

He also served in 2017-18 as a coach for the Premier Basketball Club, working with and for executive head Keith Van Horn and director Anita Rowland.
