Kyser is a Roswell native as he enters fourth season at NMMI.

He played wide receiver at Goddard High School and then played at Eastern New Mexico University under former NMMI head coach Josh Lynn.

Kyser earned his master’s degree from ENMU after he was finished playing and coached the receivers as a graduate assistant for two years.

Previously, Kyser held the wide receiver coaching job at Chadron State where he helped produce two All-Conference receiver selections.

He was asked by coach Forchtner to join the NMMI staff in January 2017 to help with recruiting during the spring semester, focusing mostly on Alabama, Georgia and New Mexico.

Kyser helped lead the Broncos to their first appearance in the Southwestern Junior College Football Conference championship after only four seasons in the league.
