Walker takes 13th at NMJC Invite

Bronco sophomore cross-country runner Tessa Walker was the top Bronco finisher at the New Mexico Junior College Invitational five-kilometer race Friday morning at Harry McAdams Park in Hobbs, N.M.

The Roswell native posted a time of 21:42.90, which was 3:09.73 behind the winner, Jayne Elvin of NMJC.

Freshman Wiktoria Pruszynska came in 21st with a time of 22:41.19, freshman Fernadette Yatsatie finished 25th (23:37.20) and sophomore Nina Aguilar crossed the line 37th with a time of 29:05.00.

Up next for the Broncos is a trip to Portales for the Eastern New Mexico University Open on Saturday, Oct. 7.
