Yamamoto, Niderla earn conference player of the week honors

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference has announced the Volleyball Players of the Week for Aug. 29 – Sept. 4.

New Mexico Military Institute outside hitter Katarzyna Niderla is the WJCAC Offensive Player of the Week.

The 6-1 sophomore middle from Poland had 44 kills, 13 digs, 17 block assists and two solo blocks in 13 sets played last week.

New Mexico Military Institute libero Mio Yamamoto of Japan is the WJCAC Defensive Player of the Week.

The 5-4 freshman had 80 digs and 13 assists in 13 sets played.
