The Colt and Lady Colt Cross Country teams participated at the Pecos Valley Invite in Roswell on Saturday morning.
The Colt boys' team had their best finish yet, while the Lady Colts, with only one runner, did not compete as a team.
Teslin Strecher finished fifth with a time of 18:33.93 helping the Colts to a top-three finish.
“He ran a really good race and will keep improving as the season goes on,” said Coach Olesinski.
NMMI will be racing at the Hobbs Invitational on Thursday at 3:00 PM at Ocotillo Park.
