Athletic Sports Packet
2022-2023
Hello and welcome to the NMMI family! The athletic department is excited that you have chosen the Institute. It offers 24 sport teams to choose from. Federal law and New Mexico state law require the completion of the athletic sports packet in order for your son or daughter to participate in athletics during the 2022-23 school year.
All Forms REQUIRED to Play High School Sports
Fully completed packet must be received to participate in NMMI high school sports. Forms can be emailed or hand delivered to NMMI's athletic trainers. If emailing forms, please email all completed forms to athleticforms@nmmi.edu with the subject line including the student's first and last name. All forms must be on file prior to the cadet participating in their sport(s). If you have questions about your paperwork or your status, please email all questions and concerns to athleticforms@nmmi.edu.

- Concussion for Students (https://nfhslearn.com/courses/61059/concussion-for-students)– Concussion course can be taken online. Certificate of completion needs to be emailed to athleticforms@nmmi.edu with the completed High School Sports Packet form above.
Also, be aware that for any student transferring from another high school, the NMMI Athletics department may require additional paperwork to verify eligibility. Please contact the coach of the sport for more information.
All 14 of NMMI's high school athletic programs are members of the New Mexico Activities Association and compete primarily at the Class 3A level.
High School Student/Athlete Eligibility
- 2.0 GPA in previous semester
- Must be younger than 19 years old prior to Sept. 1 of the current year
